This Mindfulness in Schools Project (MiSP) curriculum is a fun, engaging and useful ten-session mindfulness course for young people, adapted from the adult courses Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy. It has been evaluated positively by the University of Cambridge and Oxford Brookes and can be used in a wide range of contexts and age ranges.
I’m a trained .b teacher and have been teaching the course successfully in several schools. I also assisted in the translation of the materials into Welsh and can teach bilingually.
Further information can be shared on request such as scientific evidence for the effectiveness of mindfulness in helping lessen depression and anxiety.
I believe mindfulness is an essential skillset for young people who need to navigate the ‘attention economy’ of our modern technological world.
